Barack Obama Penned A Powerful Tribute To Slain Rapper Nipsey Hussle

Rapper Nipsey Hussle was laid to rest on Thursday, during his homegoing celebration, his good friend, Karen Civil read a letter by former president Barack Obama.

In the letter, President Obama spoke about getting to know Nipsey through music that his daughter’s shared with him and spoke about Nipsey’s achievements.

President Obama also urged the community to continue to good work within the community of Crenshaw and communities like it.

Over 20,000 people attending the services at the Staples Center on Thursday.

Speakers at the service included Nipsey’s family members, Lauren London, Snoop Dogg, and YG.

T.I., The Game & Meek Mill buys out Nipsey Hussle’s clothing store before the memorial.

The Game and Meek Mill showed up at different times and left with several bags, later T.I. came by and “broke the register twice.”

The rappers shared footage of their shopping trip with fans and encouraged them to go to the store or purchase product online.

The store is currently serving as a memorial for the slain rapper and will be one of the locations where the 25-mile funeral procession will pass.

Detroit Pistons Goes To The Playoff

For the first time since 2016, that our very own Detroit Pistons are in the NBA playoffs!

They will take on the Milwaukee Bucks.

Games 1 and 2 are 7 p.m. Sunday and 8 p.m. Wednesday (Eastern time) in Milwaukee.

Games 3 and 4 will be at Little Caesars Arena, marking the first professional postseason games in the arena!
