T.I. made headlines recently when he revealed one of his strange and questionable parenting methods.
Appearing on a podcast, the rapper revealed that he accompanies his now-eighteen-year-old daughter for an annual visit with a gynecologist.
The purpose of the annual visit? Inspecting his daughter’s hymen to make sure that she is still a virgin.
When this news first came out, the Internet was set on fire with mostly negative reactions. Some fans pointed out that his daughter is an adult and her medical information is private from everybody–even her father. Others noted that there is no reliable test for virginity, and that the hymen can break from a number of things that are not intercourse.
A vast majority of people appeared to be disgusted and/or appalled by the rapper’s comments.

Now, T.I. will be joining actress Jada Pinkett-Smith for an episode of her Facebook Watch talk show, Red Table Talk. His wife, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, will also appear on the episode, and topics of discussion will include the controversy over T.I.’s parenting practices, as well as their marriage.
When asked about the show, Pinkett-Smith stated: “They came on today and he addresses the controversy that is happening right now in regards to his daughter — and me and Tiny also talk about how they survived their challenges in their marriage. It was an exceptional show and I’m proud of it”.
The show will air Monday, November 25th on Facebook Watch.
