You’re at a big Holiday party, and the Holiday spirit is in full swing. You finish your latest beer, and make your way to the refrigerator for another one. You open the fridge door, and you’re met with a terrible situation: all of the beer gone, and nobody at the party is in condition to drive to the store to buy more.
Most of us have had this experienced this situation, and it is always a huge letdown. There are few things in life more annoying than having a party with the people you love cut short. But, luckily, one grocery chain is doing their part to help people avoid these sort of predicaments this Holiday season.
This Holiday season, Aldi will offer free delivery on all food and alcohol for orders placed through delivery app Instacart. The free promotion will be valid through January 1, 2020, when the company will begin to charge customers a fee.
“The busy holiday season is fast approaching, making convenience more important than ever, and adding alcohol delivery to our online offerings is one more way Aldi saves you time,” said an Aldi spokesperson in a press release about the promotion.
Aldi’s alcohol brands–particularly their wine–have garnered high acclaim. They have many wines that score in the 90s on Wine Spectator’s 100-point scale, and one of their wines was ranked among the world’s best at the 2017 International Wine Challenge.
What do you think about this promotion? Will you be using Instacart to have alcohol delivered to your Holiday party?
