PHOTO: Statue of Tupac Shakur that Looks Nothing Like Tupac Shakur Revealed in Dallas
Tupac Shakur’s legacy is often one of controversy. People debate his status as hip-hop’s greatest MC, as well as whether or not he is still alive.
Now, the controversy has turned to a new statue of Tupac that has been revealed in Dallas. There is one issue with the statue, however:
It looks NOTHING like Tupac.
Looks like this was the template photo but they failed terribly ....Whom ever did the statue......we need a refund. pic.twitter.com/V0COmInZqL

While the statue is new to Dallas, it originally was located at the Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts in Stone Mountain, Georgia.
Tupac’s mother, Afeni, created the center in 1997 as a place for children to get opportunities to pursue the arts. She sold the center 5 years ago for $1.2 million and took the statue with her.
How this statue has made it’s way to Dallas remains unclear, but the new owner of the Center for the Arts has stated that he is commissioning the creation of a new, more accurate bronze statue of Tupac for the center.
What do you think about this statue? Do you think it’s funny that the artist got it so wrong, or disrespectful to Pac’s legacy?
