Eminem knows that the pandemic has shut down revenue for DJs who had club, wedding, and party work canceled.

Slim Shady has launched the Love Your DJ contest to pay DJs in his home state of Michigan $313 to supplement their income.

He is inviting Michigan mix masters to post mixes on SoundCloud. The first 500 DJs to post will get the money from The Marshall Mathers Foundation. The total amount will be over $156,000. The best 15 mixes will win a grand prize feature on Eminem’s Sirius XM Shade 45 channel.

Do you think other artists will follow suit to pay their local DJs?
