Cardi B Wanted Lizzo to Appear in the ‘WAP’ Music Video, So Why Wasn’t She In It?
Word on the town is Cardi B really wanted Lizzo to appear in the “WAP” music video! In fact, she had a “whole vision” for the cameo!
Cardi expressed she’s cool with Lizzo, even sending DMs to each other and all… So why wasn’t she in the video? The “WAP” video featured a handful of female celebrities like Normani, Kylie Jenner, Rosalìa, Rubi Rose, Sukihana, and Mulatto.
“It was so important to me to include different women that are different races and come from different backgrounds, but are so powerful and influential,” Cardi B expressed in an interview.
Ok, back to the big question… why wasn’t Lizzo in Cardi B’s WAP music video? Well, apparently, Lizzo was on vacation at the time and wasn’t in town. Quite honestly, we can totally picture a flute and the infamous Lizzo split making the video even more eye catching than it already it. Dang.

At the end of August, Cardi B shared a message to anyone who believes the anthem about female empowerment and sexual autonomy is “too vulgar.”
“The people that the song bothers are usually conservatives or really religious people, but my thing is I grew up listening to this type of music,” she said on an Australian radio show. “Other people might think it’s strange and vulgar, but to me it’s almost like really normal, you know what I’m saying?”
She continued, “You wanna know something? It’s what people wanna hear. If people didn’t wanna hear it, if they were so afraid to hear it, it wouldn’t be doing as good.”
