A Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reboot is happening!! Will Smith has confirmed this iconic show will return. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reboot is getting two seasons on the new streaming service, Peacock.. Will Smith stated in a YouTube video Tuesday “the deal has closed with Peacock with an unprecedented two-season order from a pitch,” Also he said in the video “What really clicked in my mind when I saw the trailer that Morgan did [was] the concepts in the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reimagined as a drama. A real kid from West Philadelphia modern day, a Black family in Bel-Air, the Carlton character, a Black young Republican … the heat that would be stirred up by these characters.”
If you did not know the reboot was created by a fan who made a trailer showing a more realistic and dramatic version of the characters in modern times. Will Smith had discovered the trailer in 2019 and it soon became a reality for that fan that his teaser would became a new TV show on peacock.
