Detroit Youth Soccer League Needs Coaches
Oh, man. The Detroit Youth Soccer League has blown up! Just a few years ago they only had like 300 kids to play. Now they have 1300. So, the city is looking for teachers, mentors, and parents to step in and help get involved with the teams. Coaches are paid, and if you’re interested and want to learn more, you can check it out at dprdathletics.com. And also, if your kids want to register to play soccer, the deadline is tomorrow (Friday).
New Trailer for the Upcoming Tupac Docuseries
Well, I have talked about this Tupac documentary series in the Scoop before, Dear Mama, about the relationship between Pac and his mother, Afeni Shakur. They just released a new trailer that you’ve gotta see. It’s moving and powerful and it’s so great to hear his voice again! The series is supposed to be full of unreleased audio and video. I’m a mom, so I am totally looking forward to it. I’m sure that you are too. The first episode is set to premiere on April 21st on FX.
Tony! Toni! Tone! is Back Together & Will Be Touring
Here’s some good news! Tony! Toni! Tone! are officially back together and ready to tour this year. Now, you may be confused because they have toured, but without Raphael Saadiq. He has not been part of the group for quite some time. I have done shows with them in the past and every time it never fails. People want refunds afterwards because Raphael’s not part of the group, no matter how long he hasn’t been part of the group. But now you’ll be able to check ’em out in their entirety, with Raphael. No dates have been announced yet, but hopefully they will be making a stop in the D! I have no doubt that they will. They always come through here.
