Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice Release Alternate Versions Of ‘Princess Diana’ Collab
Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice’s collab is not over just yet. The duo released a new EP of , days after the song and its video set social media on fire.
The Queen and The People’s Princess released four remixes on Tuesday (April 18) that still maintain the original’s fun and flirty beat but added different layers of energy to the remixes breathing a new life onto the song.
The original version of “Princess Diana” is from the Bronx native’s debut EP Like…? which dropped in January. The six-track EP included three new offerings including “Princess Diana,” “Actin A Smoochie,” and “Gangsta Boo” featuring Lil Tjay. It also featured “Bikini Bottom,” “In Ha Mood,” and her breakout hit “Munch (Feeln’ U).”

Ice Spice, born Isis Gaston, told Billboard that she is inspired by Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, Lil’ Kim, Erykah Badu, “all of the greats.”
“It’s them being from New York of course,” she said. “That New York swag and aggression and bad bitchness. [Laughs.] When it comes to Lauryn and Erykah, they give a graceful angelic vibe of timeless beauty. All of them are icons.”
Nicki and Spice’s budding relationship seemingly began when the Pink Friday creator echoed Dazed Magazine’s title for the rising artist dubbing the Bronx emcee the “Princess of Rap.”
Nicki Minaj reposted Ice Spice’s cover on Twitter and her Instagram story, emphasizing Dazed’s headline. “Gag. The People’s PRINCESS. catch it!!!” she wrote.

Nicki also showed love to the Bronx rapper in the comment section of Ice Spice’s post on Instagram of the magazine cover.
“Btchs slow so I gih dem a pass. Nah. Grah! No more passes Princess… Let’s go,” the Pink Friday creator rapper wrote, referencing lyrics from Ice Spice’s song “Princess Diana” and foreshadowing their collab.
