Detroit Thanksgiving Day Parade Nominated for Best in United States
Two weeks ago, it was announced that Lions legend Lomas Brown and former Detroit TV news anchor Huel Perkins were going to be the Grand Marshals for Detroit's annual America's Thanksgiving Parade. The theme for this year is "Heart of History". Well, yesterday we found out that Detroit's parade has been nominated in USA Today's 10Best holiday parade category. The winner of that is going to be decided by a vote, which is open right now all the way through November 29th. I know that Detroit is going to show up and vote because the America's Thanksgiving parade actually won the USA Today's 10Best holiday parade last year. You can vote by once a day, every day, between now and November 29th by going to this link... https://10best.usatoday.com/awards/travel/best-holiday-parade-2023/

50 Cent Song Reaches 10-Million Sold Mark

If you're not up on music music certifications, that means 10-million singles sold. "In Da Club" is the 43rd hip-hop song and only the 121st song of all time to go Diamond. Think of how many songs have been released in the history of the world. The fact that only 43 hip-hop songs and only 121 songs overall have been certified Diamond is pretty major. Speaking of 50, he's on the European part of his current tour and has revealed that he is working on new music while on tour that he hopes to release soon.

Migos Pay Tribute to Takeoff on One Year Anniversary of His Passing
Yesterday was the one year anniversary of the passing of Takeoff of Migos. It's kind of surreal to think that it's already been a year. If you don't remember, Takeoff was shot and killed in a bowling alley in Houston during a dice game. Both his Migos bandmates, Offset and Quavo, took to Instagram to honor him. Offset posted a video of Takeoff and wrote, "The times we spent is priceless. What we built in this game. They never wanted to give us our flowers. We influenced the world. I love you, Take. You still here with us. I just know you are. Migo for life." Then Offset posted a picture of Takeoff with a caption that said, "Can't forget. Won't forget. Never forget. I remember." 10 Of Quavo’s Best Guest Appearances
The frontman for the Atlanta-bred rap group Migos has continuously proved that he can carry his own weight outside of the trio. Quavo (real name Quavious Keyate Marshall) has assisted on tracks from the likes of pop superstars like Justin Bieber and fellow rap comrades such as Drake, Kanye, and the late Pop Smoke. The four-time Grammy-nominated artist has only begun to mark his territory in hip-hop.

The song is about the rappers repping their respective home cities (Brooklyn and Atlanta) and turning the New York borough into Magic City, a popular strip club in Atlanta. The song peaked at number eight on the US Billboard Hot 100 and spent 50 weeks at the chart. The song is currently 11-times certified platinum by the RIAA.
