Expungement Fair Helping Detroiters Clear Their Names
If you’re dealing with trying to clear you name up, there’s an Expungement Fair happening tomorrow from 10:0 AM to 1:00 PM. It’s taking place at at Johnson Recreation Center, 8550 Chippewa, in Detroit. The requirements are a maximum of three felonies, unlimited misdemeanors, maximum of two assault crimes, only one DUI, and State of Michigan criminal convictions only. Capital offenses, federal offenses, and most sexual misconduct conventions cannot be expunged. They want to help you out, so get down there tomorrow if you can. Missy Elliott will be the first female rapper to be inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. She spoke about the honor recently with Robin Roberts from Good Morning America.

Missy Elliott is about to be the first female rapper to be inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. She did an interview with Robin Roberts recently where she said, “This is a huge, not just for me, but for all the sisters in hip-hop. The door is now open to showcase the hard work that many of us women contribute to music.” Missy also spoke about her struggle with anxiety and told a story about being hospitalized the night before performing at the Super Bowl with Katy Perry. The Fresh Prince (Will Smith) and DJ Jazzy Jeff are back. The pair will be part of a huge 50th anniversary Grammys Salute to hip-hop.
DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince to Reunite For Grammy Tribute
Here’s some big news! DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince will be reuniting to perform at the Grammys Salute to 50 Years of Hip-Hop. The show is going to be taped next Wednesday, November the 9th, and it will air December the 10th on CBS and Paramount Plus. The list of performers for this tribute is huge. Jeezy, GloRilla, 2 Chainz, Latto, Jermaine Dupri, DJ Quik, E-40, LL Cool J, T.I., Arrested Development, Big Daddy Kane, Black Sheep, Cypress Hill, Digable Planets, Juvenile, Luniz, MC Lyte, Roxanne Shanté, Three 6 Mafia, Too $hort, Warren G, De La Soul, J.J. Fad, Talib Kweli, The Pharcyde, Queen Latifah, Questlove, Rakim, Remy Ma, Uncle Luke and more. This performance with Jazzy Jeff will be Will Smith’s first major public appearance since the Chris Rock fiasco at the 2022 Academy Awards last March.
2023 Grammys: 50th Anniversary Of Hip-Hop Tribute Gallery
The 65th Annual Grammy Awards honored the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop with a tribute performance co-curated by Questlove. Before the performance began, Dr. Dre was honored with the inaugural Dr. Dre Global Impact Award. “The recipient of this inaugural award is none other than an icon who helped define West Coast hip-hop and has become one of the most impactful success stories of our time,” LL Cool J said introducing the legendary producer. The Dr. Dre Global Impact Award was established by the Recording Academy and the Black Music Collective.
Dre explained the importance of this award. “[This award] uses my name to inspire the next generation of producers, artists, and entrepreneurs to reach for their greatness and demand that from everyone around you.”
LL Cool J then lead 33 hip-hop artists to a 13-minute performance spanning several generations. Missy Elliott, Run DMC, Salt n Pepa, Public Enemy, Grandmaster Flash, Ice-T, Queen Latifah, Busta Rhymes with Spliff Star, Nelly, GloRilla, Lil Baby, and more took to the stage.
