Detroit Lions fans were definitely heard Sunday at Ford Field. Lions Coach Dan Campbell gave fans their flowers after the game.
Lions Coach Dan Campbell Talks Atmosphere at Ford Field
Congratulations to the Detroit Lions on their 24-23 win over the Rams on Sunday. It was their first playoff win in 30 years. I was so excited. And I actually got to watch the game because we didn't have to work yesterday morning, so, I wasn't staying up late on a school night. After the win, Coach Dan Campbell talked about how happy he was for Lions fans and how electric the atmosphere was at Ford Field during the game. He said the crowd there is usually loud but that this was like nothing he had ever experienced before, which is totally cool. I'm so happy for the fans. I know some people who were kids when they went to the last Lions playoff game. So, they were able to go back again this time, 30 years later, and experience that.
The Lions next playoff game will be this Sunday at 3:00 PM at Ford Field where they'll host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Now, this is going to be an interesting game for Mean Jean. The Bucs are his team so he's kind of torn. But like he said this morning, he lives here now, so either way, he wins. We're going to have to figure out some kind of bet between the two of us for Sunday's game. Stay tuned to the show this week to find out what the stakes will be! Tisha Campbell Martin Lawrence, Tichina Arnold, and Carl Anthony Payne II speak onstage during the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards.
Cast of "Martin" Reunites at Emmy Awards
The 2024 Emmys were last night and "Damn, Gina!" The cast of "Martin" was reunited at the show. It was a really special moment. They had the whole apartment set on stage and everything. They were there to present the award for Best Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, which was won by Jeremy Allen White for his role in "The Bear".
Martin Lawrence was on the Tonight Show afterwards and he said that, of course, the reunion was missing Tommy Ford, who passed away in 2016 after a surgery complication. Martin said he wouldn't move forward with a reboot without his friend. He said, "The Martin show was like catching lightning in a bottle and I don’t think we can redo that again. I wouldn’t mind working with the cast again on something but I don’t think we can do that again.” We'll have to see, but I think everyone would love to see something from them again. If you didn't catch the reunion, check it out here... https://youtu.be/gh9suXESF2w?si=hq54PH6lmXpE3_XG

Although nominated, Diddy has decided not to attend the Grammy Awards ceremony in February. Allegations against him seem to have severely damaged his image amongst his peers.
Diddy Won't Attend Grammy Awards Show
As you know, in December of last year, just a week after the Grammy nominations were announced, Diddy was accused of rape and sexual assault by Cassie and following those accusations, subsequent people filed lawsuits against him. Well, he has apparently declined the invitation to attend the Grammy Awards ceremony. Even though he's been nominated for the first time in 20 years for Best Progressive R&B album for his new, "The Love Album". Sources say that several publicists asked that their artists weren't sat anywhere near him. So, it was like a logistical nightmare anyway. It's probably the best idea for him to just stay home.
I did mention last week that he was also cut from scenes from Yung Miami's new reality talk show on BET. And then over the weekend, I saw that she deleted all of her posts off her Instagram. She posted something new, but all of her pictures with Diddy and everything are gone.
Emmy Awards: See the Complete 2023 Winners List
The 75th annual Primetime Emmy Awards truly featured something for everyone on TV's biggest night. (And yes, it is also being called the 2023 Emmy Awards despite taking place in 2024. Remember the writer and actor strikes?)
Anyway, considering the milestone anniversary of the Emmys, the ceremony featured a number of fun cast reunions. These reunions were from some of the biggest, most influential shows in television history. Among the shows to reunite included Cheers, The Sopranos, Two and a Half Men, Martin, Ally McBeal and Grey's Anatomy. The cast of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia also appeared, but we don't consider their appearance to be a "reunion" since the show is still on the air.
There were many big and historic moments from the evening. For the first time ever, two Black women won Best Lead Actress and Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, with Quinta Brunson and Ayo Edebiri winning the honors, respectively. In fact, The Hollywood Reporter noted the 2023 Emmys tied the record for most winning actors of color. In addition to Brunson and Edebiri, other actors of color to take home Emmy Awards included Steven Yeun, Ali Wong and Niecy Nash-Betts.
On top of that history, with his win for Outstanding Variety Special (Live), Elton John finally became an EGOT winner. The historic win caps off quite the past few years for Sir Elton, who wrapped up his epic farewell world tour.
Overall, the shows that were the big winners of the night were Succession, The Bear and Beef. HBO Max was the streamer/network that won the most awards with 31. According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Warner Bros. Discovery submitted all of its programming as 'HBO Max' titles as the TV Academy permits companies to designate the platforms as they see fit."
