Lions Offensive Coordinator Ben Johnson Staying in Detroit
First of all, I’m going to give a big shout out to Ben Johnson, the offensive coordinator of the Lions. He was in the running for the head coach of the Washington Commanders, but he announced yesterday that he’s staying in Detroit. He is not going anywhere. And by the way, I haven’t been on Twitter in a while, but if nobody has tweeted out that Leonardo DiCaprio clip from “Wolf of Wall Street” where he goes, “I’m not going anywhere!” and tagged Ben Johnson in it, you are doing it wrong.
Exhibit Lets You Look Back at Detroit Piston’s Championship Seasons
The whole city has been so excited about the Detroit Lions season, I think we have collectively not realized how bad the Pistons are this year. They’re the worst team in the league right now with a record of 6 and 40. Well, if you want to reminisce about the good old days, the Detroit Historical Museum has a new exhibit called “Thirty Five | 20” where you can relive the 1989 and 2004 Pistons’ championship seasons.
You’ll learn about how the teams were built, how they developed their styles, and you can go through their playoff run to the championship round by round, which is pretty cool. It’s a good way to have some positive thoughts about the Pistons right now, because it’s not been the best season, but it’s okay. They’re rebuilding. I guess you have to start from zero again.
The exhibit is going to run through June 23rd, so you’ve got some time to get down there and check it out. But I think that is really cool, especially for a city that’s won multiple championships to kind of relive those old seasons. I haven’t been to the Detroit Historical Museum yet, but I might have to check it out before June 23rd. Justin Timberlake Hints That There’s More New NSYNC Music Recorded
Well, today, Justin Timberlake is celebrating his 43rd birthday. Yesterday and last week, Shannon Renee talked about his new single, “Selfish”. She mentioned how Britney Spears’ fans were being petty by making her song “Selfish”, which was released in 2011, pass his on the iTunes chart. Justin’s new album, “Everything I Thought I Was”, is dropping on March 15th, and he’s got a tour that’s going to be happening later this year.
Yesterday he was a guest on the Kelly Clarkson Show and he talked about what it was like being back in the studio with the guys from NSYNC. You’ll remember they released their first single since 2002 for the Trolls movie. Well, JT may have made an announcement that his record label wasn’t expecting to hear. He hinted to Kelly Clarkson that there may be more new NSYNC music in the bag. A source close to his label, Sony, told TMZ that there were no plans for any NSYNC album or any kind of reunion that they know of.
So, to me, it sounds like this is going to happen, and maybe he just kind of spoke too soon and ruined the surprise. I think that this is going to happen. Last week when I was doing “Lean In” on Fox 2 Detroit with Liz Lewin, I said that I think it’s time for JT to move into the NSYNC nostalgia portion of his career. I got a little pushback on that, but I think that that’s exactly what’s going to happen. Check out a clip of Justin on The Kelly Clarkson Show right here… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLPYqswxJQs
Nicki Minaj Fans Crossing The Line in Feud With Megan Thee Stallion
Over the past week, Shannon Renee has been updating us on the mess that’s been going on between Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion. They’ve released diss tracks aimed at each other, Nicki’s been going on Instagram Live and wilding out, everybody thinks she’s tweaking. Well, the mess just got messier.
Nicki Minaj’s fans have found out and leaked the location where Megan’s mother was laid to rest, and of course, they can’t leave things alone. One of the ‘Barbs’ posted a picture of the grave site with the caption “you know what to do”, and other fans have been threatening on Twitter to go and desecrate her grave site.
The threats are being taken seriously because security has been beefed up at the place that Megan Thee Stallion’s mother has been laid to rest. What makes people think stuff like this is okay? I get that you want to be a fan of Nicki Minaj’s. I get that you like her music. But threatening to desecrate someone’s grave site over a rap beef is a little bit more than ridiculous. You know, back in the day, a lot of these beefs ended in violence, but this is taking things to another level. So, if you’re a Nicki Minaj fan, please don’t do this. Please, don’t threaten to do this because it’s stupid and it’s ridiculous and I promise you, Nicki doesn’t care about you that much.
