Detroit Tigers, Fan Giveaway Dates And More For The Upcoming Season
The Tigers will take on the Oakland Athletics at one of Detroit’s biggest parties, Opening Day, on April 5. In December, the team announced upgrades to the stadium. These include improvements to the audio system and television upgrades throughout Comerica Park. In addition to the upgrades, Comerica Park will be host to some fan-favorite events.
Returning for the 2024 season
The first 15,000 fans in attendance for every Saturday home game will receive special giveaway items as part of Giveaways on Saturdays. Every Friday will be a “Friday Night Party” in the Park featuring fireworks, live music and entertainment, and pregame food and beverage specials on the Comerica Landing. Also back are Chevy Sunday Kids Days, where young fans can get player autographs on the concourse, run the bases after the game, and enjoy free rides on the Ferris Wheel and Hi-Chew Carousel.
Fan-favorite special events
Long-standing fan-favorites returning this year include Polish American Night (Friday, May 24), Pink Out the Park (Saturday, June 8), the 22nd annual Negro Leagues Weekend (July 12-14), Kids Club Day (Saturday, Aug. 17) and the 19th annual ¡Fiesta Tigres! (Saturday, Sept. 14).
Comerica Park giveaways
The Tigers are introducing several new giveaway items this season. These include a Tigers hockey jersey on April 6, a Pink Out the Park jersey presented by Karmanos on June 8, an Aloha Shirt on July 27, a “Tigres” soccer jersey for fans 21 years of age and older on Sept. 14 and more.
There will be several theme games with special ticket packages that include an exclusive giveaway item. This includes the return of “University Nights” featuring colleges and universities throughout Michigan and the fan-favorite “Bark in the Park” nights.
Additional theme games will include Healthcare Appreciation (April 11 and 12), Military Appreciation Day (May 28), Homeplate (June 22), Educator Appreciation Day (June 24), Small Business Appreciation (June 25), Firefighter vs. Law Enforcement (July 10), Softball Day (July 28), Little League Day (Aug. 17), First Responders Night (Sept. 11), and others.
The 2024 season includes “313 Value Games.” All Tuesday home games at Comerica Park will be “313 Value Games,” with $19 lower-level tickets available. “313 Value Games” will have $3 bottled water and fountain drinks, $1 chips, and $3 hot dogs.
