People Mover Closed on Monday
Regular People Mover commuters will need to make other arrangements on Monday. The transit system will be back operating on Tuesday.
Well, if you had plans to travel on the People Mover downtown today, it is closed. They're doing a system upgrade. But the good news is it will only be closed for one day, so you can jump back tomorrow and find out where you must go.
It sounds like they're getting things in place for the NFL Draft, which is coming up next month. So, they ensure everything looks good and everybody's ready to ride the people mover when they come into town. I took my daughter on it two weeks ago and went around. She took some pictures and stuff, but they need a thorough cleaning. It was dusty. I'm not going to lie.
Ashanti's Rumored Pregnancy "Unofficially" Confirmed By Her Mother
Ashanti and Nelly have been the subject of rumors for a minute now. Her mom pretty much confirmed what everyone speculated. The couple is having a baby but hasn't personally announced it yet.
Well, we all know the rumor is out there. Ashanti's been running around in baggy shirts. But her mama said 'hold up' when somebody congratulated her on Ashanti and Nelly's alleged, supposed pregnancy.
During a recent interview with Antoine Edwards, Ashanti's mother, Tina Douglas, told her, "There has been no announcement. It hasn't come out yet." When Edwards apologized because she thought the news had been made public, Ashanti's mom said, "It is public. Don't get it twisted. But it hasn't been officially announced."
That's a weird way to say it, but I get it. People want to come out with their announcement, so I guess it's unofficially official. Here's Ashanti's mom "not" making the announcement.
Juvenile Talks Hot Boys Reunion
The juvenile is optimistic that a Hot Boys reunion will happen soon.
Who can forget the Hot Boys from the 90s? BG, Lil Wayne, Juvenile, and Turk?
Well, BG recently got out of prison and said that he wanted there to be a Hot Boys reunion, but then he went directly to do a song with Finesse2Tymes dissing Lil Wayne. I don't know why you would do that. Diss Lil Wayne. Who wants that heat? But apparently, BG has said that he talked to Lil Wayne after that, but no details about that conversation have been revealed.
Juvenile was asked recently if there was going to be a Hot Boys reunion, and he said, "No negativity from me, man. You know, with me, I'm always saying it will happen. It's going to happen. We got to let them simmer down a little bit, and trust me, it's happening." We'll have to see. It'll be a banger if it does happen. Check out what Juvi had to say below...

The biggest night of awards season is here at the 96th Academy Awards. Actors big and small stepped out at the 2024 Oscars, wearing their most show-stopping ensembles of the year, but not these folks. The ceremony airs live from the Dolby Theater on ABC, abc.com, or the ABC app. on Sunday, March 10, starting at a new earlier time at 7 pm ET, scheduled to end at 10:30 pm ET. Jimmy Kimmel returns as host for the fourth time. Zendaya, Michelle Pfeiffer, Nicolas Cage, and Al Pacino are among the first group of presenters for the awards ceremony. Also presenting are last year’s winners: Brendan Fraser, Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, and Jamie Lee Curtis. Oscar winners Mahershala Ali, Jessica Lange, Matthew McConaughey, Lupita Nyong’o, and Sam Rockwell are also set to take the stage.
Nominations and Performers
Fantastic films are nominated for this year’s Oscars, with Oppenheimer, Barbie, Killers of the Flower Moon, Poor Things, The Holdovers, The Color Purple, Maestro, American Fiction, and Past Lives taking a lot of nominations in the major categories. This year, 321 feature films were eligible for the Oscars, and 265 of those qualified for the Best Picture category. Oppenheimer leads the 2024 Oscar nominations with 13 nods, with Poor Things trailing behind with 11 nods and Killers of the Flower Moon with 10.
The list of confirmed performers includes Jon Batiste performing "It Never Went Away" from American Symphony, Becky G performing "The Fire Inside" from Flamin' Hot, Billie Eilish, and Finneas O'Connell performing "What Was I Made For?" from Barbie, and Scott George and the Osage Singers performing "Wahzhazhe (A Song For My People)" from Killers of the Flower Moon. As we previously reported, added to the list of performers includes Ryan Gosling and Mark Ronson performing "I'm Just Ken" from Barbie.

There's nothing funny about this funny woman's Oscars red carpet look. McCarthy's pairing of red and hot pink is something that was once trendy but oh boy, is she being swallowed by fabric. The fluffy pink cape competes with her voluminous brown curls, and the presenter just gets lost behind it all.
Fran Drescher

Drescher's fishnet-looking gown is giving tacky vibes even though she paired it with sophisticated accessories and a black fitted blazer. The dress leaves nothing to the imagination and frankly, it gives too much.
Dwayne Johnson

The look is entirely too gaudy and flashy, and though we aren't necessarily surprised with his choice of wardrobe, it doesn't mean we have to like it one bit. We do give him kudos for looking very comfy, but for an Oscars look, this s not it.

Meanwhile, the asymmetrical neckline that blends into a choker with the high thigh slit does too much. Basically, the dress is wearing her and not the other way around, and that is not how to fashion.

On top of the powder blue custom Louis Vuitton dress being all sequins, the poofy fringe sleeves reminds us of a bird and that is just not a flattering look even though she usually looks so glamorous.

The bright baby pink gown is custom pink Giambattista Valli Haute Couture, but the strapless ruched column is giving a caterpillar undergoing metamorphosis. Then, as her "wings," the exaggerated off-the-shoulder puff sleeve cape and train is not how we wanted to see the actress and singer return to the red carpet for the first time in four years.
