In today’s Shannon’s Scoop, there’s a new, free Detroit Metro Airport rewards program, the Rough Ryders honored DMX on the anniversary of his passing, and Beyoncé & Jay-Z’s youngest daughter makes Billboards chart history!

Ruff Ryders Show Out to Honor DMX
Yesterday was the 3rd anniversary of DMX passing away, unfortunately. The Ruff Ryders pulled up to his grave site to remember him. If you look at the video below, I mean, it’s just motorcycles and more motorcycles.
At DMX’s grave site, a member of the group said, “Let’s give it to X because he stayed true to himself. He never sold out, man. He kept it real until the casket dropped. You don’t get real cats like that, man. That represent from to the beginning to the end. He wasn’t for the money, you couldn’t buy him. It’s all about family, about love. Loyalty and love. So, we out here, we representin’. We a reflection of the dog. So, we appreciate everyone coming out for this ride. We gonna ride every year for the dog.”
It’s so insane that it’s already been 3 years. DMX passed away on April 9, 2021. The rapper died at the age of 50 from a cocaine-induced heart attack which cut off blood flow to his brain. When he was first admitted following the overdose on April 3, 2021, DMX’s heart was revived at the hospital, but he remained in a coma until his mother ultimately made the decision to remove him from life support a week later.
Beyoncé & Jay-Z’s Youngest Daughter Make Billboard History
According to Billboard, congratulations are in order to 6-year-old Rumi Carter. She has made history by becoming the youngest female artists to ever appear on the Billboard Hot 100 for her inclusion on Beyoncé’s song, “Protector” from the “Cowboy Carter” album. Listen to the track below. You can hear Rumi right at the beginning and it’s so cute.
Rumi took the title of youngest female artist on the Billboard chart from her big sister, Blue Ivy, who Beyoncé featured on the song, “Brown Skin Girl” off of the 2019 “Lion King” movie soundtrack.
It’s pretty cool to see these artists including their kids in their projects. On one of his albums, DJ Khaled made his son the executive producer on it. So, they’re forever going to get royalties. They’re going to get paid, as they said, with generational wealth.
