CDC Issues New Mask Guidance due to Rising COVID Cases
As we watch the rise of the Delta variant throughout the country, The CDC updated its guidelines encouraging vaccinated people in certain areas of the country to resume wearing masks indoors.
The CDC is also recommending everyone in K-12 schools mask up indoors, regardless of vaccination status, according to CNN.
In addition, many health experts have recommended the use of masks to protect against the Delta variant as it continues to spread, especially for children who are too young to be vaccinated.
#DeltaVariant surging in U.S. New data show Delta much more contagious than previous versions of #COVID19. Unvaccinated people: get vaccinated & mask until you do. Everyone in areas of substantial/high transmission should wear a mask, even if vaccinated. https://t.co/tt49zOEC8N
