Original Power Ranger Caught Up in Covid Fraud!
Austin St. John, who played the Red Power Ranger in the 90s TV series, was arrested for a federal criminal case after his house was raided!
The FBI agents in tactical gear arrived at St. John’s home at 7 am this past Thursday in an upscale neighborhood in McKinney, Texas, wielding what appeared to be AR-15s as they stepped onto his porch.
It turns out that there was a massive federal indictment involving 18 people who have now been charged with fraud. According to the indictment, St. John was involved in a scheme to defraud the Paycheck Protection Program of the Small Business Administration, a program that helps small businesses affected by COVID.
Apparently, St. John received 16 loans totaling $3.5 million that he used for personal purchases rather than for the intended purpose. Despite being used for the intended purpose, the feds claim it was obtained fraudulently.
If convicted, St. John could face a maximum of 20 years in prison!
St. John has since posted a statement via his Instagram page, which you can check out below!
