Andre 3000 Is Bringing His Enchanting Flute to Detroit
One thing is definitely for sure. When legendary hip-hop artist Andre 3000 from the group OutKast dropped new music with his debut solo album New Blue Sun in November, people were shocked and there was a ton of debate online. Why? Because Andre didn’t make an album with any hip-hop lyrics like fans are used to. He made an 8-track album with 87 minutes of instruments. And the biggest shock? He played the flute for the album. One of the songs is even 12 minutes and 20 seconds long minutes long which broke the Billboard’s Hot 100 list. I liked the album because I love a chill vibe, but many other fans online thought it was too relaxing.
Now, Andre 3000 had been popping up with his flute in random places prior the release of the album. He’s been spotted playing inside the airport while waiting for a flight and even in Japan. Well, the good news is, you don’t have to play a game of Where’s Waldo to see him perform live. He has announced his New Blue Sun Tour and is making stops all around the country including right here in Detroit.
