Love was in the air this Valentine's Day, with the 105.1 the BOUNCE Project Proposal and the answer was YES!

What is the 105.1 the BOUNCE Project Proposal?

We asked people who were in relationships to tell us why they were ready to take their relationships to the next level. They told us about their relationship, and why now was the time and one winner would get the ultimate proposal planned by the Morning BOUNCE.

The winner would get a ring, courtesy of Motor City Pawn Brokers, as well as dinner on Valentine's Day at the Caucus Club Downtown Detroit.

The 2024 Project Proposal winner was Trevor, he and his now fiance, Johntya have been together for about ten year. The couple also has four lovely children.

Monday afternoon Mean Jean and Shannon Renee met Trevor at Motor City Pawn Brokers to pick out the ring, in the video above you can see the options that were available to them.

For Valentine's Day at the Caucus Club they had a special couple's menu where each couple got an appetizer to share, a second course each, two entrees and two desserts.

Yesterday, we caught up with both Trevor and Tya, and learned more about them. Got to know about their relationship, kids and their plans for the wedding. Listen here.

5 Unique Detroit Valentine’s Day Date Ideas You’ll Love

While every day in a relationship is important to a couple, there’s one special day that falls on February 14th every single year. You know what I’m talking about. It’s Valentine’s Day. You know when that little guy named Cupid makes an appearance with his bow and arrow of love. It’s a day when we go out of our way to express our love and affection for our partners. We plan special dates, give gifts, and express meaningful words in a card.

Now, I can’t be the only person in a relationship that recognizes that things can come become routine and life can get in the way. Even on this special day, you end up at the same restaurant that you typically go to or life’s been busy so you’re stopping at a store last minute for a gift. It happens to the best of us!

But, it doesn't have to be this way. You can have a unique Valentine’s Day date that you and your partner will cherish for years to come. Planning for a unique date shows your partner that you have put an effort to make sure that the day is special and meaningful for them. Plus, it’s just a great way to have fun and build your bond by sharing new experiences together.
