Benzino Challenges Eminem to Rap Battle
As we talked about on Shannon’s Scoop this morning, Benzino has issued a challenge to Eminem.
As you might know, Eminem and Benzino have been feuding for like 25-years. It originally started because The Source gave “The Eminem Show” album 4 mics out of 5 and Eminem called the rating unfair. He blamed The Source and it’s co-founder, Benzino, claiming that he’d never get a 5 mic rating because of his race. And then, aside from dissing The Source in interviews, Eminem apparently refused to talk to Benzino at a show.
So, Eminem reignited the beef 20-something years later when he dropped the song “Doomsday Pt. 2” earlier this year. Then Benzino responded with a diss track called “Rap Elvis”.
Benzino Says He Could Take Em in 3 Rounds
Well, now Ben Zino has a challenge for Eminem. In an interview with TMZ, he said, “It’s not necessarily where I thought that I was lyrically better than Eminem. But at this point, after “Rap Elvis”, I believe I could face to face battle with him and I want to do so. I want to challenge him right here on TMZ, a face to face battle. 3 rounds and I believe I could take him.
“Now when he was battling, I probably wouldn’t have said that 20-years from now”, Benzino continued. “But since then I’ve mastered my craft and I’m the best lyrical shape of my life and I’m ready to battle Eminem and I think that’ll be great for hip hop.”
Is he crazy? This reminds me of Jake Paul wanting to get in the ring with Mike Tyson. And here’s the thing. On Benzino’s last diss track, he admitted that someone wrote for him. You can’t be free styling in a battle and have somebody else writing for you during that time. Are they going to hold up cue cards for him?
It’s crazy to me. Anyways, good luck to him. He’s going to need it if Eminem does battle him for real. Read more below and scroll down to hear both Em’s shot at Benzino on “Doomsday Pt. 2” and Benzino’s response on “Rap Elvis”.
