An Idaho dad stopped to lend a hand to a couple having car issues — and ended up having his own car stolen with his two kids in the backseat. The Good Samaritan pulled over Saturday night to aid Raymond Aguirre, 24, and Bobbie Jo Torres, 29, after their car slid off Interstate 15 during icy conditions in Pocatello. But when the dad got out to help them, Aguirre and Torres jumped into his car with his two kids inside and sped away, leaving the man behind on the side of the road. The dad contacted 911 to report that his car with kids inside had been stolen. Authorities then spotted the car outside a residence and kicked down the home’s door, finding Aguirre and Torres inside. The duo was arrested on charges for grand theft but the children were not with them. Around 10 minutes later, police were alerted that the children had escaped from the suspects and walked to a relative’s home. Aguirre and Torres are still jailed.
