KFC ditches ‘finger lickin’ good’ slogan

The pandemic has now affected Kentucky Fried Chicken!

Kentucky Fried Chicken is suspending its 'finger lickin' good' slogan... because you really shouldn't be licking your fingers right now. That's interesting because I sure do after I come in from getting my KFC, wash my hands and eat my food but I digress..

KFC's global chief marketing officer, Catherine Tan-Gillespie, said in a statement, "We find ourselves in a unique situation - having an iconic slogan that doesn't quite fit in the current environment."

Before you get your feathers too ruffled, CNN reports ditching the 64-year-old slogan is simply all part of a marketing ploy.

Is the marketing ploy clever or tacky? I could see some taking offense considering this pandemic has taken the lives of many people. However, as a business that's likely struggling, you do what it takes to get attention!
