Walmart Joins Microsoft in Bid to Buy TikTok
All eyes on TikTok and here I am still without one!
Walmart has reportedly joined Microsoft’s effort to buy TikTok.
The two companies are teaming up on a bid to buy the China-based social media app’s operations in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. The bid is rumored to be in the $20-30 billion range. Damn! It’s quite amazing how this app has blown up in what I feel like is just a year!
The White House has threatened to ban TikTok unless it sells to a U.S. company, over concerns about collecting user data for the Chinese government.
Walmart has gotten into the radio industry, sounds like they want to get that social media bag as well!
